About Deep Tissue Treatment
Massage is a technique used to manipulate soft tissue to improve tension, reduce inflammation and also to stimulate the body's natural muscle systems, along with acupuncture and dry needling with targets muscles deep within its trigger points, to release tension and reduce pain.
Massage increases the body’s supply of oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, which help release waste from the muscle tissue. Massage also accelerates your body's own natural ability to heal itself.
Can Massage help me?
If you are suffering with tightness, stiffness or pain that comes from a muscular source, then yes! Massage can help you. Massage is a great treatment to aid recovery from sports or injuries, it can also be used for pre-sporting events.
What to expect
All Deep Tissue treatments are 40 minutes in duration, during this time the therapist will ask you where your pain is and focus on areas that require treatment.
A massage oil is normally applied to the skin unless there is a reason where oils cannot be used on your skin. If you have any allergies or would like us to use your own particular creams/oils, please bring that along to your appointment. Acupuncture and/or dry needling is applied to relax and treat muscle trigger points, working to calm and reduce pain in the body in combination with massage therapy.
